Welcome to The Colour Society!
It is with great honour and enthusiasm that I address you as the President of The Colour Society. Since its inception in 1952, our society has been at the forefront of fostering scientific and technological advancements in industries related to paint, inks, pigments, synthetic resins, and allied products.
Founded by the visionary late Prof. N. R. Kamath and esteemed individuals such as Major A. G. Hammod, Dr. K. G. Kudva, Shri. N. S. Bhartia, and Shri. R. V. Raghavan from the Surface Coating Industry, our society has remained steadfast in its commitment to furthering the development of these vital industries.
At The Colour Society, we strive to create a collaborative environment where professionals, researchers, and enthusiasts come together to exchange knowledge, share insights, and drive innovation. Through our various initiatives, events, and publications, we aim to facilitate continuous learning and growth within our community.
The Colour Society conduct annual seminar, late Prof. N.R. Kamat memorial lecture and late Shri. C. J. Bhumkar memorial lecture every year. During the Annual Seminar many technocrats as well as Directors, CEO and CMO of different organizations take active participations. The Colour Society set benchmark in Coating Industry and because of the goodwill, our The Colour Society family is increasing day by day. This annual seminar helps people to showcase their products and connect with the right persons in the Industry.
The Colour Society conducts Diploma courses in Paint Technology since 1977 and recently started Ink Technology course. After COVID 19 we are conducting Diploma courses online. Currently we have more than 15 teachers from Industry and academics who are taking lectures online. Till date we have more than 1500 students who have taken admission for this Diploma courses and set their career on different level. Our students are not from India but from 3 different countries also. In coming year we are planning to involve more students from different countries and make this course globally.
The Colour Society signed MOU with University of Mumbai on 19th Oct.2023 in presence of Shri. Chandrakant Patil - Hon. minister Higher & Technical Education, Prof. Ravindra Kulkarni, VC University of Mumbai and Prof. Prakash Mahanwar, VC - Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University. This partnership is a testament to Joint academic programmes, Short- or long-term student exchange, Internship programmes. Sharing or creation of educational materials and resources, Exchange of scientific instruments and technology. This will help for students to improve the knowledge in theoretically as well as practically.
